In the month of October I will be linking up with other writers on Five Minute Friday for thirty-one days. Each day I will write about one word for five minutes. Here goes…

When children begin to form sentences, one of the first words they ask (continually)  is why.  Mama is readily available to give them the answers to endless questions.

I know, because I remember when I met God and difficulties started coming into my life, I asked why.

Why did my sixteen year old neighbor die in a car accident when I was fourteen?

Why did my black Shetland pony die tragically?

Why did my great-grandmother die before my first child was born?

Those questions in my youth and early years of adulthood, taught me something.

God is God.

Amazingly his plan was made before time, and mine is best for me. Just as your plan is for you.

Somewhere along the way I matured and stopped asking God why and waited for his answers. Answers are illusive many times, but as time goes by, and I look back on my life, there’s a pattern.

It is God leading you, and your life pattern is not a straight line, but a God line.

A God line planned specifically for you.

  1. The static of today’s world makes it hard to hear our purpose sometimes huh?
I had much the same take on today’s prompt. 🙂 Nice to read this and will be coming back for more.

  2. Our 2-yr-old grandson (and his Daddy, Mommy, and baby sister) live with us and he has just started the “why” stage. It’s fun listening to all of us trying to come up with answers for his why’s.

I’m glad God has my God line!
