In the month of October I will be linking up with other writers on Five Minute Friday for thirty-one days. Each day I will write about one word for five minutes. Here goes…
Sometimes when I’m out with my camera I can be inspired by a certain place, a certain look, or most inspiring is the kind of light. I love morning and evening light because it can be soft, or dramatic.
As an empty nester, I am constantly inspired by my grown children’s energy and vitality for life. It extends to my grandchildren who are avid readers. They are constantly creating something in their heads. These younger ones in my life inspire me to carry on even when I lack mental or physical energy. They spark new ideas for me and give me positive feedback.
I was not brought up in an encouraging or positive home. Though my parents were loving people in their own way, I think they lacked confidence in themselves. They didn’t know how to inspire us.
I’m thankful that God found me and has taught me all along that who I am is enough, and that my ideas may be strange to others, but not to Him. He loves what I do and I work at being content.
