Voice

In the month of October I will be linking up with other writers on Five Minute Friday for thirty-one days. Each day I will write about one word for five minutes. Here goes…

Today the clouds are minimal and blue sky is taking over. At the moment, the sun is beating on my face and I can barely see the computer screen.

I love it!

The sun has been a rare occurrence lately and it calls me today with a quiet, irresistible  summons.

As with any writer, your voice develops over time, but I think it is in perpetual growth.  Just as life itself brings changes for us, our voice becomes something stronger, unless we allow bitterness to grow, grief to consume, or anger to become comfortable in our hearts.

Today the sun is here, and the big yellow ball shooting its Vitamin D at me has changed my attitude tremendously.  I think today I could take on the world! Because of it, I want to bring hope in my voice. May it be encouragement, peace and light to see God’s grace for all of us.

No matter how much rain falls in your life, the sun always returns.

It may even bring a rainbow.

Audience

In the month of October I will be linking up with other writers on Five Minute Friday for thirty-one days. Each day I will write about one word for five minutes. Here goes…

In our oversized social media, we can be seen and heard all over the world. But what does this really mean? Do you and I have a huge audience after all?

How many friends do you have on Facebook?  If I have 300 friends but you have 750 friends, does this mean all those friends hear your voice every day? The more people join Facebook, the more Facebook has to change the algorithm to absorb it all. Then you actually see less people in your feed.

How far does your blog reach? Even if it reaches to thousands, does it mean that thousands actually read it?

Do you want your voice heard? Is your heart’s passion to share Christ? Possibly you have a large following and you are a speaker of some renown.

I am not; I am an ordinary person sharing Christ one on one. There’s nothing wrong with that.

Don’t worry about your audience, whether it is large or small. Just share what Christ has done in your life.
